T. Lynn Warthan, M.D.
Dr. Lynn Warthan is a board-certified Dermatologist and has been in private practice in Nacogdoches for 36 years. Dr. Warthan is an honor graduate of The University of Texas in Austin, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. He attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Following an internship at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin, he completed a dermatology residency at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, generally considered one of the top five dermatology programs in the country.
Dr. Warthan has published extensively in peer-reviewed dermatology journals, and has participated in skin cancer screenings sponsored by the American Academy of Dermatology for over 30 years.
Dr. Warthan is a past president of the University of Texas Medical Branch School of Medicine Alumni Association, and is a member of the Development Board of the University of Texas Medical Branch, as well as President’s Cabinet at UTMB.
Dr. Warthan is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and also holds memberships in the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Texas Medical Association, and the Texas Dermatologic Society, as well as the local Nacogdoches-San Augustine County Medical Society.
Dr. Warthan is well respected by his peers, as well as his patients. He practices general dermatology, and sees both adult and pediatric patients. He is accomplished in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.
Dr. Warthan and his wife, Jackie, have two daughters who are both dermatologists, and both of his daughters practice with him on a part-time basis. He and his family are avid fly fishers, and enjoy family vacations. He is also a dedicated sportsman, and a life-long quail hunter.
Dr. Molly M. Warthan joined her father, T. Lynn Warthan, also a dermatologist, at Warthan Dermatology in September 2011. Dr. Molly grew up in Nacogdoches, and attended college at Southern Methodist University. Following college, she attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX, where she graduated with Honors, and completed her dermatology residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. She completed a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery in Tallahassee, FL, where she completed over 4000 Mohs surgery cases.
Dr. Warthan pioneered the initial research that determined there is a certain segment of those who are addicted to tanning. She received worldwide recognition for this research, appearing on the NBC TODAY show, and her research gained world-wide media attention, and was featured in numerous newspapers, including New York Times and Washington Post. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed dermatology journals. She has also participated in numerous FDA clinical trials, helping new medications to be approved for use in the USA. In particular, she participated in clinical trials involving BOTOX, psoriasis medications, and acne medications.
Dr. Molly Warthan strives to give her patients the best care. She specializes in Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgery. She offers each patient the utmost state-of-the-art care to treat their skin cancer, in a very warm, friendly environment.
Dr. Warthan is a board-certified dermatologist and a fellowship trained Mohs surgeon. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American College of the Mohs Surgery, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Molly Warthan practices at Warthan Dermatology Center of Nacogdoches. She is excited to be back in her hometown and to continue the family tradition of providing excellent patient care to patients.
Dr. Mandy L. Warthan is double board-certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology. Fewer than 3% of dermatologists become dermatopathologists. This demanding principle is focused on the microscopic diagnosis of skin cancers, moles, and other complex skin diseases.
Dr. Mandy Warthan grew up in Nacogdoches, Texas in a medical family; both her father and sister are dermatologists. She graduated magna cum laude from Southern Methodist University and received her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Dr. Warthan completed her dermatology residency at the Medical College of Georgia. She then completed a Dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas.
She has published extensively in peer-reviewed academic journals and has been quoted in the New York Times. She is respected by her peers as a n accomplished dermatologist with genuine empathy for her patients. Dr. Warthan is highly trained in the latest developments in aesthetic dermatology, as well as the prevention and treatment of skin cancer and other dermatologic diseases. Dr. Warthan treats diseases of the skin, hair and nails in patients of all ages. Medical treatments include skin cancer, mole removal, acne, rosacea, skin cancer screenings, psoriasis, and eczema. She is accomplished in many cosmetic techniques, including BOTOX® cosmetic, Dysport, and fillers such as Restylane, Juvederm, Perlane, and Radiesse. She also utilizes chemical peels for fine wrinkling and the removal of "brown" spots, and provides prescriptions for Latisse.
Dr. Warthan is committed to volunteering her time to others by participating in Melanoma Monday, sponsored by the American Academy of Dermatology. She also actively participates in the McKinney Chamber of Commerce, the Ronald McDonald House, and Young Texans Against Cancer.
Dr. Mandy Warthan practices at Warthan Dermatology Center in Nacogdoches on a part-time basis. When not in Nacogdoches, she practices at Warthan Dermatology Center of McKinney, in McKinney, Texas.
